What I have observed and have come to conclude is that, the secret to maximizing the benefits of Insanity or for that matter any workout routine is not so much the daily grind of the workouts, but more importantly the quantum of effort that you put into the workouts. All of these cardio exercises will most definitely push your heart & lungs to their limits. From cardio circuit workouts, to cardio recovery workouts, balance training, abdominal & leg workouts, and maximum intensity. Insanity uses cardio workouts in abundance. Anybody can start the program, but you need to bring resolve, to complete the course and enjoy full benefits out of it, in Shawn T’s own words, you need to “Dig Deeper”. I don't really follow the eating plan, but that's because I'm a vegetarian and already eat really lean to begin with (lots of steamed/grilled veggies, Ezekiel bread, etc).Insanity is not just for the fitness maniac, it is for you and me and the best part is that you can skip the gym membership fees. I had a little extra love handles and they are quickly going away, I have excellent tone in my abs and my thighs have gotten smaller, but more muscular overall.and I'm only in the third week! I've definitely already noticed a difference in my physique. Even if I've done one disk twice in a week, it doesn't seem boring it's actually a challenge to me to see if I can do better the second time around. Shaun is very motivating and the workouts never seem to get old. I was already in good shape when I started this, but it quickly reminds you that you can always get better. I chose Insanity because, being a woman, I am more interested in slimming down and having tone, rather than using any weights. I used to work out at the gym, but moved temporarily, then bought this when I was debating buying P90X or Insanity. I do love Insanity and Shaun is fantastic and motivates you and when he says dig deeper-just let your mind go and dig and you will see amazing results! My only problem now is how to add more calories, I am taking in 1700 cal per day, need to recalculate as I don't want to lose anymore. So my results so far, First, I don't believe in the scale so I do not have a weight for you (sorry) Measurements: waist (started-26.5 Now 25 inch Hips 37.5 now 35.0 have trimmed down all over. I have completed my recovery week and will start Max-Interval tomorrow. So I purchased this program over 5 weeks ago and wanted to give it a good month prior to posting my review. I had just completed 1 round of P90X lean and felt a little too bulky. I really do enjoy working out and is always looking for a challenge. Let me began by saying I am a 44 year old female and is physically fit. I have never reviewed a product before but felt that I should rave about Insanity. For the first time I have abs! I'm the mom of 2 kids under 3 years old, I work from home and lucky if i sleep more than 5 hours a night but after completing this I have more energy now then i did when i was a teen.Īt 5'5 i lost 13 lbs, went from 131 to 118, size 6 to size 2/0 and 4" off my waist. Your body will need the protein- My metabolism is so fast now I can barely keep up with my calories! Which is a first for me :)) And I think its EXTREMELY important to fellow the eating plan or one similar to achieve great results. But I will say this is very difficult and do not recommend it to anyone with knee problems as the workouts are very high-impact. The moves are repetitive but well worth the results. Month 1 the workouts are about 40 minutes long and month 2 they are about 60 minutes long. The workouts are high-impact and high-intensity. I completed my 60 days and I love this workout system, at 34 I'm truly in the best shape of my life :) I've tried everything from running to P90X (which I reviewed too) to body for life and bikram yoga and this is the leanest I've ever looked. WOW!! This really is the most intensed I've ever worked out.
